   Gateway to heaven the Seven Sisters cliffs, a series of chalk cliffs by the English Channel which form part of the South Downs in East Sussex, England. There are actually eight peaked hills; and the “seven sisters” is not a metaphorical but a literal reference to seven sisters, each of whom lived in a house between the hills.

Apparently some glaciers melt, changing the salt percentage on the water. Now this two bodies of water have trouble mixing because they have different densities. Huh.
